Jason Duval
Jason wants an easy life, but things keep getting harder. He grew up around grifters and crooks, joined the Army to shake off a troubled adolescence, and ended up in the Leonida Keys doing what he knows best: working for local drug runners. Rockstar frames meeting Lucia as either the best or the worst thing that could happen to him.
In missions his military background matters: Rockstar used a high-rise mission locked to Jason as an example. Full profile: Jason Duval.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. Fighting for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, and Trailer 2 opens on her release. Now out, she is determined to build a good life on her own terms, and a life with Jason could be her way out. Her family is from Liberty City, and she is the series' first non-optional female protagonist.
Full profile: Lucia Caminos.
Brian Heder
An old-school drug runner from the golden age of smuggling, Brian runs a boat yard in the Keys with his third wife, Lori. He lets Jason live rent-free in exchange for help with shakedowns. Actor Stephen Root said in September 2026 that he appears in GTA 6, and he is widely reported to play Brian, but Rockstar has not confirmed the role.
Cal Hampton
Jason's friend and one of Brian's associates. Cal is a paranoid homebody who spends his time listening to Coast Guard radio with a beer and a lot of private browser tabs, content to live in what Rockstar calls the low tide of America.
Boobie Ike
A Vice City legend who has turned street fame into legitimate business: real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. He co-owns the label Only Raw Records with Dre'Quan Priest. In Rockstar's words, now they just need a hit.
Dre'Quan Priest
A former dealer who always wanted to break into music. As Boobie's partner at Only Raw Records, he signed Real Dimez, betting the duo can deliver the label's breakthrough.
Real Dimez: Bae-Luxe and Roxy
Friends since high school, Bae-Luxe and Roxy turned hustling into money from rap and social media. They scored an early hit with DWNPLY and are now signed to Only Raw. In-game, you can watch their rise play out on the social media feeds you scroll on your phone.
Raul Bautista
A seasoned bank robber who recruits talent for big, risky jobs. His recklessness keeps raising the stakes, and press coverage describes him as a mentor figure to Jason and Lucia. Expect him to be the link to GTA 6's larger heists.
New characters from the Extended Look
Press coverage of the Extended Look has named further characters, including Raymond (Ray), Ernesto, Mendez, Andrés de León, Val, Aunt Tee, Camilo and Petra Navarro, the COO of a corporation called Megamundo. Rockstar has not published bios for them, so their roles are not yet confirmed. Other named figures include Lori, Brian's wife, and Wyman, who is tied to a classic car collection in the Ultimate Edition.
Who voices Jason and Lucia?
Rockstar has not announced its voice cast and reportedly reminded actors that their confidentiality agreements still apply. Online reports name Manni L. Perez as Lucia and Dylan Rourke as Jason, but neither is confirmed. The only actor to confirm his own involvement is Stephen Root, who told AP in September 2026: you're going to see me in that.
| Actor | Reported role | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Stephen Root | Brian Heder | Appearance confirmed by the actor; role not confirmed by Rockstar |
| Manni L. Perez | Lucia Caminos | Rumor |
| Dylan Rourke | Jason Duval | Rumor |
Celebrity radio hosts
Some famous voices are confirmed, as radio DJs rather than characters. Bad Bunny hosts Cocoteo FM, Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen host Back Country Radio, Burna Boy hosts AfroBank FM, Robyn hosts Flash FM, Trick Daddy and Trina host Dirty South Classics, and Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya host metal station The Chamber 106.6.
