Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look is a roughly 27-minute gameplay showcase. Rockstar announced it on August 6, 2026 and premiered it on Netflix on August 27, with the video reaching YouTube and the Rockstar site a few hours later. Every frame was captured in-game on a standard PlayStation 5.

Netflix reported 31.1 million views in four days, making it the service's most-watched title that week and number one in 87 of 93 countries.

The showcase toured Vice City nightlife, beaches, the Keys and the wetlands by car and fan boat, and showed base jumping, clubs and a far denser crowd than any previous Rockstar game. Later Rockstar interviews added that the map is about twice the size of GTA V's and that weather, including tropical storms, is local.

What Rockstar said after

Rockstar confirmed there are no microtransactions and no generative AI in the game at launch. Rob Nelson said his own playthrough of the story plus some side content took around 80 hours, one developer's run rather than an official length.
