What the Keys are
The Leonida Keys are Grand Theft Auto VI's version of the Florida Keys: a chain of islands strung together by overseas bridges south of Vice City. Official footage shows marinas, stilt houses, beach bars and long causeways over turquoise water.
The Keys are also where the story starts for Jason Duval, who lives among the local drug runners and works for Brian Heder.
Boats, bridges and smuggling
The real Keys have a long smuggling history and Rockstar leans into it: official materials pair the postcard views with running product across the water. Expect the region to anchor the game's boating side.
FAQ
Are the Leonida Keys based on the Florida Keys?
