The short version

There is still no announced PC version of GTA VI. On November 19 it launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S only, and you cannot officially play it on PC at launch.

October 6: the Xbox Cloud Gaming report

A report from The Verge said Xbox Cloud Gaming would be the only service streaming GTA VI at launch, which would have made it playable in a PC browser on day one.

October 7: Xbox says no

Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball said the game will not be streaming exclusively or to PC, calling it misreporting driven by excitement. The Verge updated its story.

October 13: an early 2027 PC report

GamesBeat, citing anonymous sources, reported that Rockstar plans a PC release in the first quarter of 2027. Rockstar declined to comment. That would be far quicker than GTA V's roughly 18-month gap, and Take-Two's CEO has said PC is becoming more and more important to the company, but nothing is official.
